Quinte Health Care – Belleville site

If you or a loved one has cancer, you may also have your first visit take place at the Quinte Health Care hospital in Belleville, ON. The department for cancer services there is known as the Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic. Quinte Health Care is located at 265 Dundas Street East
 Belleville, Ontario, K8N 5A9

Clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The clinic is closed weekends and holidays.

Patient cancer care services provided at the Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic includes diagnosis, care planning, treatment, follow-up, emotional support, and pain and symptom management. 

Cancer treatment at the clinic consists of chemotherapy and biotherapy (immunotherapy). Supportive care therapies are also provided, such as blood transfusions. Patients that may require radiation treatment will be referred to the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario located at the Kingston General Hospital site in Kingston, ON.  The team works closely with the patient/family to help navigate the cancer system locally and regionally. 

Patients are cared for by a dedicated health care team, including a medical oncologist (cancer specialist), pharmacists, registered nurses, registered dietitians, spiritual health care practitioners, volunteers, and a pain and symptom management nurse consultant.
