Colorectal cancer usually grows slowly and in a predictable way so if it is diagnosed early in most cases it can be treated successfully.

• the stage of cancer
• which treatments the person chooses to have

Treatments may include:

• drug therapy (chemotherapy)
• radiation therapy
• other treatment options
• clinical drug trials
