Caregiver support

A caregiver is a person who takes on an unpaid caring role, providing physical and emotional care to someone with cancer.  A caregiver may be a partner, parent, adult child or close friend of the person with cancer. Caregivers of cancer patients frequently require their own support throughout their loved one’s cancer experience.   The Psychosocial Oncology team offers dedicated support to caregivers as part our programs and services.

You can make an appointment with a social worker for caregiver support by asking a member of your cancer care team for a referral or by calling 613-549-6666 x8104.
